2014 Wordstock Poetry Festival , September 12th, 13th, 14th

The “Don’t Miss Book & Poetry Event of the Fall”

This year’s Wordstock Book & Poetry Festival has moved to the new Inklings’ Books & Coffee Shoppe in Historic Downtown Blue Springs, Missouri. It coincides with the annual Blue Springs Fall Fun Festival.

Enjoy a weekend full of Live Music, Poetry Readings, and Book Signings. Inklings’ Books & Coffee Shoppe is located on the corner of 11th and Main Street, right in the heart of the Blue Springs Fall Fun Festival.

The Wordstock Poetry Festival began in 2010, with over 100 poets gathered around a campfire and a country porch, reading poetry.

In 2011, the Festival moved to Sibley Orchard and continued with Poetry and a Festival Setting with Turkey Legs and pitched tents.

In 2012 and 2013, it was held in Rotary Park in Blue Springs, Missouri. In addition to a Poetry Festival, it became a Book Festival and was host to many area authors and booksellers.

The Festival Host & Originator, Eve Brackenbury is also owner and manager of Inklings’ Books & Coffee Shoppe. (Formerly Prospero’s Parkside Books.) This year, Inklings’ Books & Coffee has new home on Downtown Main Street in Blue Springs. Come visit both the Wordstock Book & Poetry Festival and the Blue Springs Fall Fun Festival. Inklings’ Books & Coffee Shoppe is home to Steamin’ Bean Coffee and Dellario Gelato. We have a stage for live performances and over 50 thousand new and used books.
